Two Highland ponies have been sold to Germany

The 15 -month chocolate dun gelding, "Brownbread Cuddle Bunny" has arrived safely in his new home near Hamburg. His new owner, Marina, had mad a flying visit to the Centre before Christmas having already fallen in love with Bunny after seeing his picture on our website. Both his unusual colouring, which has its origins in the Island of Rhum, and his 'cuddle bunny' temperament has made him a great favourite since his birth. The name caused some amusement during the arrangement of his export papers. The other Highland is an 11-year old gelding, "Monrieth Horatio" that was bred in Scotland. He came down south nearly a year ago and was sold by word of mouth to a lady near Frankfurt. His picture has featured several times in Pegasus. Unbroken until the age of nine this kind gentle gelding will be greatly missed by his rider and trainer, Deborah Marzell. There is a very keen and growing interest in Highlands in Germany as we reported last year after visiting the Clan show there.
