Wanted for Clients
WantedI am looking for a Highland gelding, 14hh-14.2, for a happy hacking home in Somerset. I am happy to buy or loan, and don't mind a pony which is aged (12 years upwards is fine), as I really only hack out and occasionally do a bit of showing locally. However, I do like a good hack, for an hour or two about three times a week, with trotting and cantering (and maybe the odd gallop if the stubble fields look tempting!), so the pony would need to be up to that sort of work. It must be a gelding, as I have an Anglo Arab gelding who, I think, might become rather possessive and difficult if living with a mare.
I live near Glastonbury in an old farmhouse with fields and stables, so the pony would live at home with the Anglo, who is perfectly safe and friendly with other horses.
When my daughters come home we like to ride out together, and I have friends who enjoy riding although they may not be very experienced, so it is nice to have two horses one of which is a safe conveyance (my Anglo is a lovely chap but can be a bit tricky).
