There are two Open Days annually which are great fun with lunch for members of the society and a farm walk to see the Highland herd.

12.30 for 1 pm           lunch for HPS or HPEC members courtesy of Dinty & Tony.  Friends & non-members may make a donation to the Rescue Charity on site.

 Afternoon, also open to the public

2. pm       Please help yourself to hot & cold drinks.  (Horse Rescue collection box on the table)

                  Lots of chat with  members & non members & interested public visitors.

                   Swimming, croquet, badminton, bowls & coits are available ( Note: parents are fully responsible for supervising children at all times; no parent, no swim!)

                   Tack shop open; vast amount of s/h gear. 

                   Saddle fitting available only by prior arrangement with Dinty.

3pm            Conducted walk around the Stud to see the Highlands (stallions, mares, foals, youngstock & Highland X Tb).  Non-walkers may remain & relax on the lawn.

4pm            Tea & cakes available.  Relax!  Talk Highlands with other enthusiasts.  Sales list available

From Battle A271 North Trade Rd.  Travel 4 or 5 miles, count two “S” bends, pass Ashburnham Place Christian Conference Centre then turn right, fingerpost indicating Ashburnham village.  Down hill, first left at red phone box, up hill and right fork.  Pull in first farm entrance on left and park in field immediately on the left.

From Heathfield take B2096 towards Battle and at Woods Corner turn right by the Swan pub.  Two & half miles down and the fifth road on the right, turn right into Brownbread Street (marked on fingerpost).  After half mile pass Ash Tree pub, go over the brow of the hill and, after 100 yds, turn into farm entrance on right.  Park in field immediately on the left.
